Work at ILAIS
Through the position as a Visiting Scholar with our Institute for Latin American and Iberian Studies (ILAIS), Dr. Mariaca explored different aspects of “sustainability and management”. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach, he sought to collaborate with different Schools and Departments at our Catholic University of America, including Engineering, Business and Management, working with multiple counterparts to integrate knowledge from different fields into his research endeavors. Dr. Mariaca hopes to contribute to the idea of research in these topics, so the climate change variable could be considered in coming projects, locally and internationally. In that way, climate change will not be a factor of surprise and the development of projects will have the chance to plan their adaptation.
